Why October is FABULOUS!

October is full of dog related holiday/awareness celebrations! The two best ones, in my opinion, are:

So, in honor of Adopt a Dog Month, here are some adoptable pups!!

Freddie is a super sweet boy, who needs an adopter that will commit to giving him the life he deserves!

Sandy is a sweet girl who LOVES children!

I guess these days, anyone who knows me, knows that I am an advocate for adopting dogs. The amount of dogs needing homes is shocking, and will probably never truly be counted accurately. The rescue is always getting emails and calls from people that have dogs in need of new homes. Shelters are filled to the max with dogs that are dropped off by owners or Good Samaritans.

Jackson has THE most gorgeous, soft brindle coloring, and sweet golden eyes! He is hoping for a forever home!

Grace is a gorgeous Doberman mix, looking for a BFF!

All of the dogs shown in this post are in need of loving, committed forever homes. (If you would like to find out more about any of them, please let me know or contact Last Hope Rescue!) As you can see, the age, breed, and size vary. You CAN find pure breeds in shelters and rescues. You CAN find puppies in shelters and rescues. Just look! Or contact a local rescue, tell them what you are looking for, and I would be willing to bet money that they will find what you want. The dogs are out there, if you just be patient and look in the right places. So PLEASE think about adopting. Rescue dogs DO know that they are different. Somehow they know they’ve been given another chance at life, and they will give you memories to cherish for the rest of your lives!
