Yesterday I told you all about Petey’s Problems. So today I thought I should share the GOOD qualities about Petey, because there ARE so many! And ideally, he is a foster who will be adopted. I would be doing him a disservice if I only talked about his issues, and not about the wonderful parts that make up Petey. So, in no particular order, here are some of the things that make Petey a precious pup:
-He loves all people! He has no fear of men, women, or kids. He wags his tail, and is happy to get some lovin’ from anyone who wants to give it out!
-He is fantastic with dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds. Petey has actually had a temperament test done within the last few months, and they said he is one of the most submissive dogs they’ve ever seen. So much so, that he was going to be put into play groups with the small dogs! Now if that doesn’t make for an easy dog that you can take anywhere, I don’t know what does!

-He is laid back. Petey will go with the flow, as long as he gets to be with his person. He will go anywhere you want to go! He loves walks and car rides!
-Petey adores kids! He sleeps in my son’s room, and looks for him in the mornings when everyone is waking up. Jayden can hang all over him, and Petey just basks in the attention.
-He is a protector. Petey will bark to alert you if someone is at the door. But he doesn’t just bark at anything, which is nice! He only barks when he hears a knock at the door.
Although Petey has the anxiety issues, he really is a great pup! 99% of the time, he is perfect! And what’s the 1%?! No one is perfect all the time. So, if you know of anyone that loves to take their dog everywhere, or is a homebody, a retired person that hangs out at home maybe…pass on the word about Petey! He deserves to have a loving, committed home, and maybe, just maybe, YOU can help him find one!
Happy Friday! I hope you all will be enjoying a three day weekend like we will be! Have a great one!
Waiting for perfection only leads to disappointment and loneliness. Dogs and humans both need to be seen as individuals, flaws and all.
