Hello, and Happy Valentine’s day!
Some of you may have wondered why I don’t say much about Oscar, in regards to him being adoptable. Or, maybe you have wondered if he belongs to me, why isn’t he listed on the page about my “furever dogs”. Well…..after much deliberation, I have finally decided to become a foster failure! I am officially adopting Oscar! 🙂
To give a little backstory on him, he was at the a shelter in Gainesville and was at his last couple of days before euthanasia. It is believed that he suffered from major neglect and malnutrition. This caused his growth to be stunted, as well as his bones to not form correctly. We believe this is why he limps. So anyway, Last Hope agreed to pull him, and I would foster. I knew his size was perfect for what I would want in a second dog, and found out quickly that his personality was too! He is the pesky little brother to Lucy, Jayden totally adores him and actually even named him, and he follows me around all the time. He is a pain in the butt, chews up Jayden’s pencils, barks at me if he wants attention, and steals shoes. (He is currently in a time out as I type this, for chewing up another pencil!) But, we love him anyway, and he has found his forever home! (Check out my previous post about how he lovingly stares at me, here!)
Adopting him means I now have two of my own dogs, and one foster dog. Whoa! It gets a little hectic sometimes, and can make going out of town tricky. There is also not much room left on the couch for humans! But I just feel like we are the home that will help him, and give him the love and care that he needs. I plan on taking him to a Good Citizen class to become certified, and then he will be a wonderful advocate for pit bulls everywhere! So, I’ve been fostering for almost a year now, and have only adopted one…not bad at all, compared to some other rescue friends I know! 🙂
So, who is your Valentine today? Looking for a new love? Let me introduce you to some furry friends that would L-O-V-E to fill your home, and heart!

If you are interested in any of the above pups, please let me know and I will direct you to the appropriate people. Also, check out Last Hope Rescue & The Wakulla County Animal Shelter for more available pups! Happy Valentine’s day, my friends!
